theories and conventions that make a good music video

There were said to be 5 key aspects to a music video that as the audience we should look out for, these were ;

• Thought beats - seeing the sound
• Narrative and performance 
• The star image 
• the relation to visual and song 
• the technical aspects- special effects 

I will be following Goodwin's theory as it uses the main conventions to help me create a successful music video.
