Computer problem

 As I was editing my evaluation together the computer I was using crashed and Was taken away to be repared. Unfortunately this  meant that not only my evaulation  but also my other parts of my coursework on the desktop was gone. Therefore I could not show these in my evaluation.  But I am currently working on redoing my evaluation with what I still have from this blog and then re doing the rest the best I can.

How i created my Advert

I created my advert in similar ways to my digi pak in In design to allow the audience to see the connection between the two of them.I used the same image as the digi pak and used synced fonts aswell to keep a structure of themes.

 These are the two different types of font i used throughout they are very popular in the industry as they are simple and sleek fonts:

I added a black boarder to the top and bottem of the screen to allow text and additional information.Also real advert also include this black bar. An example of this is Jessie Js advert.

I also added social media icons,release date and QR code as these can allow fans to know more about the album and allow them to follow the artist on social media.

How i created my digi pak

I used In Design to create my digi pak because this software is used in industry and i wanted the digi pak to look as professional as possible.When i first started using this software it was quite difficult to understand how it worked but i soon understood how to work everything correctly.

I looked into to other artists digi paks and most female artists have cover photo which is a head shot as i have done on my front page. Follwed by using glitter on the other pages and an eye shot of my artist on the middles pages. The glitter images i found online thereforei had to photo shop them in order to fit the pinkish theme of my album.

 I used photo shop to create the look i wanted for my digi pack.There for i recoloured the glitter by using changing the colour on the slider to the colour that matched my original recoloured image of my artist.

 I wanted to add a personalised touch to my digi pak.Therefore i created a signature for artist.I used photo shop to do this.I set the document as transparent so its back ground would fit to its glitter back ground. I used the pencil tool to create the effect of an auto graph on the page.

I then inserted text within the the lines of my pages to ensure it was symmetrical to all other text to ensure it looked professional as possible. In the image above you can see the different coloured lines to ensure both pages match.

Further video inspiration

 I watched imagine dragons music video to there song Roots. its about going back and reflecting and learning about the past. This is similar to my video where my artist is singing about the how things have changed due to time.In my video i want to show going back in time as a memory and i believe this video has helped me see how to lay out the shots but also show the different ways of looking back.

Advert research

I have looked at what current artists similar to kasey Fox contain in an advert for there album. Jessie J is a single female pop type artist, like my artist Kasey Fox. Therefore I have analysed Jessie J's digi pak front cover to her advert and as you can see there are clear links between the two.

This is Adeles Album cover in the left hand corner and the big picture is her advert that featured in a magazine. She is a similar artist once again to Kasey Fox and it shows also strong links of theme from digi pak to advert. This using the same images from a photo shoot in black and white along with the same font and colouring of text.


After doing some research I have decided that I will be using the imagine from my digi pak for the front cover of my advert. This is to show the clear link in store for people but also to keep the identity of the artist the same.

My Artists Advert

I have created an advert to support my Artists new Album. I have used the picture on my digi pak to show the clear link of the album to the advert.I have also included other things like date of release,social media links and title,like real adverts that artists release.
